What is HNL Soup you ask? HNL SOUP is a micro-granting dinner celebrating and supporting creative projects in Honolulu. For $12 attendees receive soup, bread and a vote. Participants will hear from three projects ranging from urban agriculture to social entrepreneurship. At the event, attendees eat, talk, and vote on the project they think benefits the city the most. At the end of the night, the organizers will count and collect the ballots – the project with the most votes goes home with all of the money raised to carry out their project. Winners come back to a future HNL SOUP dinner to report their project’s progress. The grants can range from $500 to $1200 dollars.
In need of a little funding to jump start a community focused project that will benefit the City and County of Honolulu? HNL Soup is now accepting applications, open to individuals and organizations alike.
Or participate as an attendee in support of Honolulu arts, music, culture, and community.
