BoxJelly is a coworking space which services monthly memberships, as well as meeting & event space reservations for members and non-members alike.

More than just an office or business center, BoxJelly thrives from the interactions that its members have with one another and the space. The emphasis on community helps to foster a collaborative environment, from which innovation is bred.


Rechung Fujihira
CEO and Founder
The BoxJelly

Rechung, born and raised in Honolulu, is CEO and co-founder of BoxJelly, Hawaii’s first coworking space. He is responsible for setting the vision and direction of the organization. He holds a bachelors in international trade and finance from Chaminade University. When he’s not busy scheming new projects, he enjoys the company of friends, the ocean, reading and karaoke (he can’t sing very well but it comes from the heart!).

Daniel Pham
Manager, Systems & Operations
The BoxJelly

Daniel manages BoxJelly operations to ensure that both the space and community are provided with tools and resources to succeed. Before joining BoxJelly, Daniel was managing museum collections and both digital and physical archives for organizations such as the Bowers Museum, University Art Museum in Long Beach, and the Social Public Art Resource Center (SPARC). He holds a M.A. in Southeast Asian Art History from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.

Cody Hillman

As the marketing and communications director, Cody is responsible for creating online content, such as the JellyReport and the BoxJelly blog, to inform and connect the BoxJelly community. She holds a bachelors in Global Studies from the University of California at Santa Barbara.

Laura “Reezy” Essenberg
PR & Marketing
The BoxJelly

Laura “Reezy” Essenberg is a Public Relations and Marketing Strategist from Moanalua, Oahu. Within BoxJelly, Reezy is the director of PR and Events, where she forms and sustains partnerships and organizes events on behalf of BoxJelly (in other words, she makes things happen around here). On her down time, Reezy is a spicy ahi + milk tea addict, fan of “For the Free” music, and President of the Hypothetical Secret Society of Autodidacts. Reezy recently obtained her B.S. in Advertising and Public Relations from Hawaii Pacific University.

Selah Chung
The BoxJelly

Born and raised on Oahu, Selah is a graphic designer and aspiring filmmaker, world traveler, and polyglot. As part of the BoxJelly team, Selah works as the in-house graphic designer and assists with the day-to-day operations. She is also the graphic and web design intern for 50 | 50 agency. Outside of Box, Selah is the founder and creative behind Orenda Studios, where she strives to translate meaningful moments and ideas into branding and art through masterful storytelling.  She is passionate about art, live music, travel, strong coffee drinks, and her miniature dachshund, Peeps. Selah is currently pursuing her BA in Integrated Multimedia at Hawaii Pacific University.

Akiko Bates
The BoxJelly

Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Akiko graduated from Punahou School in 2015 and currently attends the University of San Francisco as an American history major. At BoxJelly, Akiko is working as the friendly neighborhood intern. Though she tries to sample everything about Box life, she is focusing on helping Laura and Cody in the PR and Brand department. When not at the BoxJelly, Akiko can be found pursuing her love of fashion by working at Kate Spade as retail associate.

Intrigued by the Martial Arts, he became a certified Reiki Master Healer. He has also conducted numerous public speaking engagements on the subject of Health and Fitness. His hobbies are reading, writing, traveling, and continuous learning he also ran track; played football, rugby, and wrestled ,boxes and MMA.

Carmille Lim

As Common Cause Hawaii’s executive director, Carmille advocates on behalf of the organization and its 4,000 members and supporters for a more accessible government that is responsive to the public

Prior to that, she was involved in advocacy with the YWCA of O’ahu, Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii, Hawaii State Commission on the Status of Women, and League of Women Voters of Hawaii. She
is a balletomane and has been practicing ballet for over 15 years.

Nina Faye Blanco is the Founder and Executive Director of Agile Learning Center Oahu, a co-creative space where young people can focus on personal strength-building and collaborative exploration through self-directed learning. Before opening Agile Learning Center Oahu, she was an international flight attendant living in New York City and volunteering at an Agile Learning Center there. She holds a BFA in Interior Architecture and Design from Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where she discovered her calling to develop spaces for learning and healing.

Our Creative Director Judith has been working in the marketing and advertising industry for the past 9 years in Germany, Dublin, London and Milan before co-founding 50 | 50 agency here in Honolulu. As a designer she takes immense joy in applying the principle of powerful mindshare which builds remarkable brands, influences purchase behaviour and overcomes industry challenges as the result of intelligent design.

Our Business Developer Marlon originally wanted to follow a career in culinary arts and become a michelin star chef. However one day his path took a major pivot when he needed to repair his own computer. He instantly got fascinated by the vastly growing IT field and while completing his MIS degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Marlon found a passion for web design. Shortly after graduating, he started his freelance career as a full-time web developer. Since then he has successfully worked with Hawaiian and mainland based businesses for over 7 years.

Before moving to Honolulu this year he was the Internet Marketing Manager at eBay Australia where he looked after the SEO & SEM, managing million of dollars in budget and driving incremental revenue to the company.

A full-stack mobile and web developer/designer focused on hassle free user experience, clean quality design, and proper project implementation; always enjoying the company of creative and technical individuals. Born and raised in Manila, Philippines, Cricket holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. He and his wife moved to San Francisco in 2010 where he earned an MFA degree in Web Design and New Media from Academy of Art University. They finally settled down with their dog, Lucy, over at Honolulu in 2015 where they enjoy a life filled with hiking, swimming, and beach relaxation.

Rex specializes in 3-Dimensional modeling of architecture for both 3D explorations and digital documentation. He also is an architectural and product/commercial photographer. In the past his travel, landscape and abstract photography has been featured in galleries and restaurants across Oahu. In addition he also integrates and trains individuals and companies in a wide array of digital integration for both business efficiency and lifestyle enhancements. His outside interests include extensive hiking and cycling, slack-key guitar and his dogs Julia and Penny. Rex is a graduate of University of Oklahoma and has resided in Hawaii since 1989.
